Why Air Source Heat Pumps and Why Now?
Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) – What’s in it for me?
The Renewable Heat Incentive is the world’s first financial support for the generation of renewable heat.
It was introduced by the U.K. Government to encourage the uptake of renewable technologies, such as heat pumps, whilst lowering the UK’s carbon emissions.
A fund of £300 million has been allocated to incentivise and provide financial assistance to homeowners and self-builders.
The TAX FREE incentive payments are paid each quarter over a period of 7 years up to a total of £12,600 which could be offset against the cost of an Air Source Heat Pump. This has the potential to create a large financial saving for the owner of the system as well as helping to lower carbon emissions, achieve the renewable targets for the UK and to help protect the environment for future generations.
